HEAliam is a special sine wave synthesizer that produces two signals for every incoming midi note instead of one. These two signals are considered to be slightly detuned so that the brain experiences a minimal frequency difference between the two ears. Is that frequency difference between 0.5 – 100 Hz the brain will try to compensate for it and starts to vibrate to that frequency. Is the frequency difference for example 4 Hz, the brain waves will adjust to 4 Hz which would be the DELTA state, we get to when we are in deep sleep. This compensation is perceived as a slight pulsation called binaural beats.
If a listener is exposed to binaural beats for about 10 – 15 Minutes the brain state adjusts to the binaural frequency. HEAliam can be used to alter the brain state of the listener with ease. You get all the tools to create music that crossfades from one brain state to the other.
